Roland XV-2020 synthesizer module. Professor Calle graduated with Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees form the University of Miami. He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Higher Education Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. Aside form teaching at Miami-Dade College, Professor Calle is also touring as featured saxophonist with Arturo Sandoval, performing and recording with the Miami Sax Quartet, finishing his 8th solo CD and is completing a jazz improvisation book.

The MDC faculty jazz ensemble, Dr. Mike Di Liddo (guitar), Jim Gasior (piano), Jorge Mazzeo (drums), Rick Dahl (bass) and Ed Calle (tenor sax) recently recorded their first CD at Kendall's Studio-M. That CD will be the first release by MDC's Music Business Department record company - Overtone Records.
