Team Assignment Parameters

Teams: Teams for this project have been assigned by the professor and are displayed at the Angel website. Teams are fixed and people may not change teams.

Grading: Each team member will receive a maximum of 10 points for this assignment. The quality of the presentation will count for 8 of the 10 points or 80% of the grade. Each team memberŐs in-class presentation can earn a maximum of two (2) points or 20% of the grade. The respective teams will make all presentations to the class on Tuesday, October 30th. In addition to creating a presentation for delivery during the class period, all team presentations will be submitted to the respective Angel drop box.
Presentation format: Teams may present the materials using a webpage, Word file, or PowerPoint presentation.

Presentation requirements:

All presentations will include the names of numerous entities, a description of the services or jobs they offer, a hyperlink to their website, and a detailed listing of contact information including phone numbers, address, e-mail address, and website data. In some instances you may be able to link directly to a contact information page on the respective websites sponsored by each person or organization.

Team 1: Acting, broadcasting, and related fields

You are to research all related sources in order to find and share information regarding acting, broadcasting, or related entertainment industry opportunities in South Florida. Such opportunities include acting/extra work, talent agents, radio and television station jobs or internships, and cruise ship opportunities. For starters, you may want to create a list of all broadcasters in Dade and Broward counties.

 

Team 2: Booking agents and entertainment managers

You are to research all related sources in order to find and share information regarding registered booking agents and entertainment managers working in the South Florida area.          

 

Team 3: Distributors

You are to research all related sources in order to find and share information regarding record distributors specializing in distribution of independent artists.

 

Team 4: Entertainment attorneys

You are to research all related sources in order to find and share information regarding entertainment attorneys working in the South Florida area.

 

Team 5: Professional organizations, unions, and guilds

You are to research all related sources in order to find and share information regarding entertainment industry professional organizations, unions, and guilds. The list must include organizations serving writers and publishers; actors and singers; musicians; broadcasters; managers and booking agents; and stagehands.

 

Team 6: Live music venues

You are to research all related sources in order to find and share information regarding live music venues that feature local and regional acts and/or disc jockeys on a regular basis. Your research should include the location, size, and musical focus of the venues. Venues can include but or not limited to clubs, theaters, restaurants, sports centers, malls, and cruise ships.
